Rohit Sharma may be approaching the end of his illustrious playing career. But the India and Mumbai Indians stalwart continues to hold a special place in the hearts of his passionate fans in India and across the world. Speculations may be rife on his future, but the great right-hander still receives immense love and admiration from his loyal supporters.

One such die-hard Rohit Sharma fan painted a stunning portrait of the cricketer and enjoyed the moment of her lifetime when the Indian legend met her personally and thanked her for the most wonderful gesture.

A fan account on X unveiled the moment, where one can see Rohit gleefully accepting the painting and expressing his gratitude by signing the vibrant picture. Rohit gave the lucky fangirl his special autograph, sending her “love and best wishes” along with it.

The moment highlighted Rohit’s humble nature and friendly attitude towards his fans, who have stood behind him throughout his career. A tough nut on the field, Rohit mellows down for his passionate supporters.

It is these fans who are anticipating a strong comeback for the elegant opener amidst reports suggesting his days under the sun as an Indian international may be coming to an end.

Retired from Tests and T20Is, Rohit was expected to treat the 2027 ICC World Cup as his swansong.

However, with age not on his side, the 38-year-old’s spot and leadership badge in the 50-overs format could soon be up for discussion with the selectors and the team management.

According to a report by RevSportz, one of India’s most prolific white-ball run-getters is seeing the writing on the wall and could be calling it quits at the international stage as soon as October, just after India’s next ODI assignment on the tour of Australia.

Before the three ODIs against the defending world champions, the experienced player could be playing a few matches for India A against a visiting Aussie side to gain some invaluable practice. Rohit hasn’t played any competitive cricket since the end of the Mumbai Indians’ campaign during IPL 2025 in late May. He made 418 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 149.28 for the five-time champions.
