Mumbai Indians’ sister franchise Oval Invincibles will face Trent Rockets in the final of the 2025 edition of the men’s Hundred competition on Sunday, August 31. The summit clash is scheduled to take place at Lord’s in London. If the Sam Billings-led side manage to get the better of David Willey & Co. in the title decider, then it will become the first team in history to win three back-to-back titles in T20 leagues.
So far, 12 teams – Chennai Super Kings, Dhaka Capitals, Comilla Victorians, Fortune Barishal, Perth Scorchers (twice), Trinbago Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Sydney Sixers, Jaffna Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Oval Invincibles – on 13 occasions have won back-to-back T20 league titles, but on Sunday, Oval Invincibles will have a chance to extend their winning streak to three titles in a row.

The change in ownership was due to the termination of Jaffna Stallions by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) due to financial issues.
Super show by Oval Invincibles
In the ongoing 2025 edition of the men’s Hundred competition, Oval Invincibles topped the points table, and as a result, they qualify directly for the final. In 2023 and 2024 as well, Oval Invincibles finished as table toppers.
