In the final of the men’s Hundred 2025, Oval Invincibles successfully defended the target of 169 runs to secure a 26-run win over Trent Rockets at Lord’s.

Mumbai Indians’ sister franchise Oval Invincibles created history on Sunday, August 31, by winning the men’s Hundred competition for the third year in a row. In the final of the men’s Hundred 2025, the Surrey-based side defeated Trent Rockets by 26 runs at Lord’s in London.
Star English all-rounder Will Jacks, who also represents Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich Indian Premier League, top scored for the Sam Billings & Co. in the summit clash by amassing a total of 72 runs from 41 balls, and No. 3 batter Jordan Cox scored 40 runs from just 28 balls.
Oval Invincibles posted a total of 168/5 in 100 balls and then restricted the David Willey-led side to 142/8. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis scored 64 runs from 38 balls but failed to help his side chase down the target.
Spinner Nathan Sowter picked up 3 wickets for 25 runs in 20 balls to seal the Invincibles’ win and also bag the Player of the Match award.
Oval Invincibles won the men’s Hundred title in 2023 and 2024 as well under Sam Billings’ leadership. This is only the second time in the history of T20 leagues around the world that any team has won three titles in a row.
In the Lanka Premier League, under Thisara Perera’s leadership, the Jaffna-based team also won three back-to-back league titles in 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2021, however, the franchise – Jaffna Stallions – that won the league in 2020 was terminated by Sri Lanka Cricket due to financial irregularities, and so for the 2021 season, the team changed its name to Jaffna Kings after a new group took over the ownership.
Oval Invincibles are overall the seventh team in the world after Victoria, Sialkot Stallions, Wayamba, Trinidad & Tobago, Titans and Jaffna Kings to win three back-to-back T20 titles. Of the eight teams, now only the Sialkot Stallions have won more than three titles in a row.

The Women’s Hundred 2025 title was won by the Northern Superchargers team. In the final match, the Leeds-based team defeated Southern Brave by 7 wickets.
