The Indian cricket stalwart’s wife and BJP MLA attended the National Sports Day at a local school in Gujarat and took part in multiple sports activities.

India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja’s wife and BJP MLA Rivaba Jadeja showed her sporty side during the National Sports Day.
Invited as a special guest at G.D. Shah Group of Schools in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on the occasion of National Sports Day, Rivaba tried her hand at various sports activities organised by the school.
As the school hosted multiple sports and cultural activities to mark the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand on August 29, Rivaba happily participated in the competitions and played sports like Kabaddi and Tug of War.
The Gujarat MLA shared the video of her playing sports with the kids and passing on the message for teachers and schools to encourage sporting activities on her official Twitter handle.
During the clip, one can also see that Rivaba was felicitated by the school authorities and requested to deliver a speech to all present for the occasion.

“On this occasion, by being present, encouragement was given to the children and joyful moments were spent with them. The Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has always continued to encourage sports and games. Initiatives like ‘Khel Mahakumbh’ and ‘Khelo India’ are excellent examples of this,” she wrote in a post.
Rivaba reinforced efforts made by the government of India to encourage sportspersons in the country, with advanced assistance and facilities, laying the groundwork for their proud achievements on the field. “In addition, players are being continuously provided with support and assistance through various projects and schemes,” she said.
Rivaba, who tied the knot with India and Chennai Super Kings stalwart Jadeja in 2016, forayed into politics in 2022 and won from the Jamnagar North constituency with a ticket from the Bhartiya Janta Party.
Retired from T20Is, Jadeja won’t be part of the upcoming Asia Cup in the UAE. The 36-year-old is enjoying a break since compiling a massive 516 runs in five Tests of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy and will be next seen in action in October with the two-Test series against the West Indies.
