The legendary India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer took out his blue-shaded Rolls-Royce out for a ride on the streets of Ranchi in Jharkhand.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to enjoy his prolonged break from cricketing duties since the end of the IPL 2025 in late May. The India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend has been spending time with his family and friends while typically keeping his cards close to his chest amidst speculations on whether he will come back and wear the Super Kings’ iconic yellow jersey once again.
Apart from enjoying downtime with his wife, Sakshi, and their daughter, Ziva, and meeting his old friends, Dhoni has been giving attention to his collection of bikes and luxury cars at his home in Ranchi. Obsessed with his automobiles, Dhoni was recently spotted coming out of his residence with a Rolls-Royce car.
In a video surfacing on the internet, the great wicketkeeper-batter was seen taking this vintage, blue-shaded Rolls-Royce out for a ride on the streets of Ranchi. This 1980 edition Rolls-Royce boasts of an iconic look and intimidating presence, perfectly suiting the style and flair of one of India’s most successful cricketers and captains ever.
As the giant gates of his Ranchi house opened, locals couldn’t believe their good fortune and rushed towards the vehicle to catch a glimpse of Dhoni riding a Rolls-Royce. In the clip, one could also notice that the 44-year-old has been growing his beard.
Later on, another video of the incident had Dhoni completely enjoying his ride on a relatively free road of the city he singlehandedly put on the global cricketing map, winning all three major ICC white-ball titles – 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy – as India captain.
Dhoni, who also jointly holds the record for most IPL trophies as captain, is unlikely to provide any update on his future with CSK anytime soon. However, the return of CSK’s old boss N Srinivasan to the setup may lead to some influential discussions around the same.
