United Arab Emirates batter Junaid Siddique was caught short of his crease by India wicketkeeper Sanju Samson during their Asia Cup 2025 match in Dubai on Wednesday.
However, the tailender continued to bat at the crease despite being adjudged out by the third umpire.
He was able to hang around and continue batting becase India withdrew its appeal. It was because Shivam Dube, who was bowling the over had dropped his hand towel during the run up.
The umpire is required to signal a dead ball in such occasions.
