India Women began the three-match ODI series against Australia Women on a positive note, posting a total of 281 in the opener, taking place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in Mullanpur on Sunday.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur featured in her 150th ODI, becoming only the third Indian to achieve the milestone after Mithali Raj (232) and Jhulan Goswami (204).

After opting to bat, the opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal stitched a century-run stand for the fifth time, the most for the first wicket for India Women in ODIs.

Smriti, Pratika and Harleen Deol also scored half-centuries, making this the sixth time India’s top-3 have scored a 50+ score.

  • 150 – Harmanpreet Kaur featured in her 150th WODI, becoming the third India to do so after Mithali Raj (232) and Jhulan Goswami (204).
  • 100-run stand – Smriti and Pratika stitched their fifth century-run stand, the most for the first wicket for India Women in ODIs.
  • 114 – Smriti-Pratika’s 114-run opening stand is the highest first-wicket partnership against Australia in WODIs
  • Fifties by Top 3 – Smriti, Pratika and Harleen also scored half-centuries, making this the sixth time India’s top-3 have scored a 50+ score.
