India registered its highest-ever total against Australia Women in women’s ODIs, posting 292 in 50 overs, during the second match taking place at the new PCA stadium in Mullanpur on Wednesday.
The Women in Blue were led by Smriti Mandhana’s record-equalling 12th century in the format, while contributions from the middle-order batters proved vital.
India’s total was also the second-highest ever against Australia, only behind England’s 298 back in 2022. The host was well en route to a 300-plus score, but Darcie Brown’s three-wicket spell helped Australia peg them back.
