If Pakistan boycott their Asia Cup 2025 match against UAE in Dubai on Wednesday, then UAE will be awarded two points, and the hosts will also qualify for Super Fours.

Pakistan are scheduled to face the United Arab Emirates in match No. 10 of the Asia Cup 2025 on Wednesday, September 17, in Dubai. But according to reports, the Pakistan cricket team will boycott the match. If Pakistan boycott the match against the UAE, then the Mohammad Waseem-led UAE team will be awarded two points, and the two points will take their tally to four, which will be enough for the UAE to qualify for the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2025 along with Team India.

India, which opened its campaign with a 9-wicket win over UAE in Dubai on September 10 and then defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets on September 14 at the same venue, has already booked its place in the Super Fours.

According to tournament rules, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Fours, and if Pakistan boycott their match against the UAE, then they will end up with only two points, and two points won’t be enough for them to qualify for the Super Fours.
