India and Australia batted their hearts out during their third match on Saturday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi to register the highest match aggregate in women’s ODIs.
The aggregate in the end stood at a whopping 781 runs, making it the first time that a match aggregate has crossed the 700-run mark in a women’s ODI.
In the first innings, Australia equalised its highest-ever total in the format after a century from Beth Mooney and fifties from Georgia Voll and Ellyse Perry took the side to a massive total of 412.
A brave batting display from India, although in a losing cause, saw the chasing side rack up 369 runs in 47 overs.
