India will need to register its highest successful chase in Asia Cup T20 history to overcome Pakistan in the Super Fours encounter in Dubai on Sunday.
A half-century from Sahibzada Farhan and contributions from the middle order helped Pakistan post 171 for five at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India’s highest successful chase thus far was the 148-run target it managed to chase down against Pakistan in the Group Stage of the 2022 edition of the tournament.
Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja scored 35 each in the chase after losing both openers early to help India get past the target with a couple of balls to spare.
India’s recent victory over its neighbour in the Group Stage was its third-highest successful chase in the competition (Target 128).
