Ronaldo’s gestures indicating how a free-kick went in was taken grossly out of context amid the ongoing Haris Rauf ‘air crash’ row.

Asian Cricket Council head Mohsin Naqvi shared an update on his social media account in which Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was seen gesturing an aircraft crash on Wednesday to add fuel to the fire ignited by Haris Rauf’s tasteless act during Pakistan’s defeat to India.

The original video witnesses Ronaldo serving an explainer to a free-kick that went in; however, Naqvi’s post takes the striker’s celebrations grossly out of context

Naqvi, who is also the Interior Minister, in addition to serving as the PCB Chairman, has made provocative statements against India time and again and his latest antics have courted further controversy.

Ronaldo, in the video, could well be explaining how his direct free-kick dipped and entered the goal.

After this, whether the Indian team, which is now the finalist of the Asia Cup, share the dais with the ACC Chairman is something that remains to be seen.

The matter hasn’t gone unnoticed as far as both BCCI and ICC mandarins are concerned. Only time will tell if there will be some kind of action taken against Naqvi.
