30-year-old fast bowler Taskin Ahmed is playing for Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, September 25. In the must-win match for both the teams, Taskin opened his wicket account by dismissing Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan for four runs on the third ball of the match. Farhan was caught by Rishad Hossain.
The wicket of Farhan helped Taskin take his tally of wickets to 100 in T20Is. He is the third Bangladeshi bowler after Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman to dismiss at least 100 batters in the 20-over format of the game.
The ongoing match in Dubai is Taskin’s 82nd T20I for the Bangladeshi team.
