According to cricket commentators, Pakistan faces a tough challenge, having lost twice to India in the tournament, while India remains in excellent form heading into the final
With Bangladesh’s defeat on Thursday, the stage is set for a historic Asia Cup 2025 final as India and Pakistan gear up to face off on Sunday, September 28. For the first time in the tournament’s 41-year history, the arch-rivals will meet in the final.
India has already won both encounters against Pakistan in this season, raising the stakes for what promises to be a thrilling showdown watched by cricket fans worldwide.
Meanwhile, legendary Pakistani cricketer and former captain Wasim Akram has offered his team some advice on how to tackle India.
Wasim Akram stated, “The final is between India and Pakistan. India is definitely the favourite, but anything can happen. Pakistan must maintain confidence and momentum. They must believe in themselves and play smart cricket. If Pakistan takes early wickets, they can put India on the back foot. I hope the best team will win in the end.”
According to cricket commentators, the challenge will be tough for Pakistan, having already lost twice to India in the tournament. They note that India is in excellent form, with Abhishek Sharma leading in runs and Kuldeep Yadav topping the wicket charts.
Following their failure to win against Pakistan, Bangladesh‘s acting captain Jaker Ali blamed poor batting for the consecutive defeats. Bangladesh lost to India in their last Super 4 match on Wednesday.
Jaker Ali explained, “As a batting unit, we lost the last two matches. We performed well with the bowling unit. Yesterday too, our batting caused us to lose the match. I tried to take full advantage of the opportunities and adjust to the captaincy.”
