The 34-year-old has played 21 Tests and 5 ODIs for India between 2018 and 2022.
India cricketer Mayank Agarwal produced a dazzling century for Yorkshire against Durham in the final round of the ongoing County Championship Division One at Headingley (Leeds). Agarwal scored a magnificent 175 off 195, an innings featuring 20 fours and five sixes in what was the 19th hundred of his prolific first-class career.
Agarwal left behind a disappointing start to his maiden county stint having registered two ducks and 26 in his first three innings for Yorkshire. The Indian batter had signed a deal with the county club for three matches earlier this month.
Making his debut against Somerset in Taunton, Agarwal was out for a golden duck before the contest ended in a draw. Against Sussex, he fared better in the first innings with 26 off 87 followed by another three-ball duck.
Against Durham, he walked in after Yorkshire lost opener Finlay Bean for 1 in the 7th over. Together with Adam Lyth, Agarwal stitched a century stand of 127 for the second wicket.
Both went on to complete their half-centuries before Lyth fell on 69.
Yorkshire then lost James Wharton (7) and skipper Jonny Bairstow (0) in quick succession.
However, Agarwal continued and reached three figures with a six.
