India vs Pakistan face off in a historic Asia Cup final in Dubai. Suryakumar Yadav leads India as favourites amidst intense rivalry.

India are all set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup, in what is going to be a historic encounter. This is the first time in the tournament’s 41-year history that these two sides, the most accomplished across formats in the continent, will face each other in the final.

Suryakumar Yadav & Co. enter as favourites, having defeated Pakistan twice already in the tournament.

The weather gods have smiled on the Asia Cup till now, with no rain interruptions during the tournament.

India vs Pakistan Final: The Rain Scenario Explained

According to ACC rules, if the final ends in a No-Result because of weather or any other reason, the trophy will be shared. However, with a reserve day scheduled for September 29, the likelihood of that happening is slim.

The weather is expected to be clear and warm this evening in Dubai, with the temperature around 33 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be at 61% and there is no chance of rain. Hence, we have a full game at hand.

Amidst the noise, the cricket has been riveting, led by star India batter Abhishek Sharma’s audacious 200-plus strike rate and Kuldeep Yadav’s 13 wickets on comeback. These feats have too often been overshadowed by flashpoints and feuds.

It started with India’s “No Handshake Policy” in the opening clash, with captain Suryakumar Yadav turning away at the toss and post-match.

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf retaliated with taunts, abuses and even an aircraft-crash gesture, sparking a storm that drew the International Cricket Council’s scrutiny and 30% fines. The war of words has lingered right through to the final.

To add fuel to the fire, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who happens to be the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Asian Cricket Council chief as well, has been putting cryptic but provocative posts on his ‘X’ timeline.
