Haris Rauf repeated his controversial plane-crash gesture against India during the 2025 Asia Cup final in Dubai, despite previous ICC fines.
International Cricket Council (ICC)’s reported fines on Haris Rauf for his vile plane-crash gestures against India seem to have had little effect on the Pakistani pacer. He was seen repeating it multiple times in the 2025 Asia Cup final against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
He did it on the first opportunity he got, too. On the first ball of the second over, pacer Faheem Ashraf fooled opening batter Abhishek Sharma with a slower one. The left-hander tried to take it on in the air but ended up scooping it straight to mid-on, where Rauf was placed and caught it easily.
The cameras didn’t record it but fan videos from the crowd show him doing the plane dip repeatedly, even as Ashraf celebrates on Abhishek’s face. Watch it here:
