The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a prize purse of ₹21 crore for the Indian men’s team and support staff following their Asia Cup 2025 triumph over Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday.
Tilak Varma’s unbeaten half-century sealed India’s third win over Pakistan in the tournament and secured a record-extending ninth continental crown.
“Three blows. 0 response. Asia Cup Champions. Message delivered. 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff,” BCCI said in a social media post.
“It was an extraordinary victory and therefore, as part of the celebrations, BCCI has announced a cash award of ₹21 crore in favour of the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told PTI.
The board has not yet specified the exact distribution of the funds. Separately, the team will also pocket USD 300,000 (₹2.6 crore approx.) from the tournament organisers as official prize money for the win.
