A dramatic video of PCB chair Mohsin Naqvi storming out of Dubai Cricket Stadium has surfaced after India’s refusal to accept Asia Cup trophy from him.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman stormed out of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday night after the Indian team refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from him in line with their continual boycott of Pakistani cricketers and team officials. Naqvi, who is also the head of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan’s interior minister, left the venue with the trophy and medals meant for the Indian players triggering a massive controversy.
A dramatic video of Naqvi leaving the venue with ACC officials carrying the trophy and medals has surfaced on social media.

After India secured a thrilling five-wicket win over Pakistan in the final held on Sunday night, the post-match presentation ceremony was stalled for a significant period with India boycotting Naqvi who has been sharing provocative posts on his social media.
Naqvi had posted cryptic videos of Cristiano Ronaldo’s plane crash gesture celebrations, a reference to the Pakistani claims that six Indian jets were downed during ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Dubai Sports City Khalid Al Zarooni, who was also on the dais, was expected to present India with the Asia Cup. However, the Indian players didn’t want to go up on stage till Naqvi was around and the PCB chairman did not oblige.
Once the individual awards were given and the Pakistan team collected their prizes from Bangladesh Cricket Board president Aminul Islam Bulbul, Doull announced: “I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council that the Indian cricket team will not be collecting their awards tonight. So that does conclude the post-match presentation.”
As Naqvi got down from the podium and strode towards the exit gate, the ACC event staff, to everyone surprise also walked away with the trophy leaving everyone flummoxed.
