Emerging as a force to be reckoned with in world cricket, the Indian women’s team enters the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 as one of the frontrunners in the race for cricket’s biggest crown. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian side will face the world’s finest teams in a much-anticipated tournament, starting September 30 and culminating in a summit clash on November 2.

India take on defending champions Australia, arch-rivals Pakistan, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka in an intense round-robin format, where these eight cricketing giants face each other once before the top 4 sides qualify for the semifinals. Guwahati, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Visakhapatnam and Colombo will play host to the matches of the quadrennial event, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

For India, their campaign begins on the opening day of the tournament against Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. India then travel across the Indian Ocean to take on Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on October 5. Harmanpreet’s talented juggernaut face their sternest test of the campaign when they play South Africa and Australia in consecutive outings in Visakhapatnam on October 9 and 12, respectively.

After a week’s gap, Harmanpreet’s team move to Indore for their 2017 World Cup final rematch against former champions England at the Holkar Cricket Stadium on October 19. The hosts end their league stage run with a pair of matches against New Zealand (October 23) and Bangladesh (October 26) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
