Smriti has been in fine form for India at the top of the order, forming a prolific opening partnership with Pratika Rawal to form a crucial cog in the Indian batting line-up.
The 2025 World Cup will be Smriti’s third ODI World Cup for India, having been part of its campaigns in 2017 and 2022.

Smriti Mandhana’s most iconic performance at a World Cup came against West Indies in Hamilton at the 2022 World Cup. After India won the toss and opted to bat, she anchored the Indian innings in the face of a few early wickets, and added 184 runs with captain Harmanpreet Kaur for the fifth wicket.
In an innings featuring 13 fours and two sixes, Smriti took full toll on the West Indies bowlers, reaching her century with a pull shot against Hayley Matthews after being dropped on 94 as India racked up 317/8 in a 155-run victory.
