World No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored 50 runs from 81 balls for Team India in the second session of Day 2’s play of the ongoing first India-West Indies Test at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During his stay at the crease in the post-lunch session on Friday, Jadeja hammered 3 fours and 4 sixes.
The fourth six of the ongoing match by Jadeja helped him break MS Dhoni’s record of 78 sixes in Tests for India. During his playing days, Dhoni hammered 78 sixes in 90 Tests for India, whereas Jadeja now has 79 sixes to his credit in 86 matches.
Only three batters – Virender Sehwag, Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma – have scored more sixes in the five-day format of the game for Team India.
