Former India captain MS Dhoni has confidently endorsed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the 2027 ODI World Cup, set to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Dhoni emphasized that age should not decide when a player should retire. He stated that as long as both players maintain their fitness and form, there is no reason for them not to continue representing the country.

“Why shouldn’t they play in the next World Cup? Age doesn’t matter for me; it’s all about performance and fitness. No one should dictate someone’s career choices. Everyone should be treated equally. When I started my career at 24, no one told me anything. So, whether I play for India for 1, 2, 5, or 10 years, age shouldn’t be a topic. Is age a factor? No. But fitness? Definitely,” said MS Dhoni.
