There is uncertainty about whether India’s experienced players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will participate in the 2027 World Cup. Virat is currently 37 years old, while Rohit is 38.

In this context, former India captain MS Dhoni has expressed strong support for both players. He stated, “Why shouldn’t they play? Age should not be the only factor; it’s about performance and fitness. If they are performing well and committed, then why not? You cannot find a 20-year-old with similar experience unless they are someone like Sachin Tendulkar.”

He added, “If someone is in their 30s, it’s not for us to decide if they can play in the next World Cup. That decision lies with them. If they continue to perform and want to contribute to the team, then they should.”
