The ICC T20 World Cup will start on 7 February. Former captain MS Dhoni, who led India to its first T20 World Cup title in 2007, has called Team India one of the toughest teams ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
However, Dhoni highlighted a significant concern that might impact India’s chances. In an interview with Jatin Sapru, he noted that while the team has plenty of experience and players understand their roles under pressure, there is a major issue to address.
Dhoni pointed to dew as a critical challenge. He stated, “I hate dew. From league matches to knockouts, it can spoil the game at any time. That makes the toss very important.”
He added, “The issue arises when some players underperform while others from the opposing team excel, which is common in T20 Cricket. That’s when the team needs to hope for the best. Injuries should be avoided.”
