Palash Muchhal, a singer-composer, and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana were scheduled to get married in November 2025. However, the wedding was abruptly canceled just a day before it was set to take place. Following this, rumors surfaced suggesting that Palash may have cheated on Smriti. Both families initially claimed that the wedding was postponed due to Smriti’s father’s health issues. Actor Nandish Sandhu, who was present at the venue, has shared his perspective on the situation.
When asked about the cheating allegations against Palash during an interview with Miss Malini, Nandish chose not to comment. He stated:
“It’s better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palash speak from his side.”
Nandish mentioned that no one took the time to reach out to Palash for his version of events.
Reflecting on the events in Sangli, he said:
“I’d gone for the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I just got to know that it’s not happening at the moment.”
He confirmed that Smriti’s father had a medical emergency, which was publicly cited as the reason for delaying the wedding.
He added:
“It’s postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti’s dad wasn’t well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything has been postponed.”
Nandish expressed his sadness over the entire incident, noting that he learned about the allegations against Palash only through social media. He remarked:
“Later on, I got to know through the news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it.”

Nandish expressed regret over the wedding’s cancellation, stating that he had seen the genuine connection between the couple over the past five to six years. He described them as a charming and lovely pair.
Previously, Smriti’s childhood friend, Vidnyan Mane, also accused Palash of infidelity.
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Vidnyan claimed:
“I was at the wedding celebrations (November 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me.”
