Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCBW) made history in the WPL Final 2026 by achieving the highest successful run chase in the tournament, defeating Delhi Capitals Women by six wickets in a thrilling match.
Facing a hefty target of 204, RCB benefited from an impressive 165-run partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll, who turned the game around after an early loss.
Delhi Capitals batted first, scoring a strong 203/4, with Jemimah Rodrigues leading the charge with 57 runs. She received solid help from Laura Wolvaardt (44) and Lizelle Lee (37), setting a strong foundation for their innings.
RCB’s chase started poorly at 9/1, but Mandhana and Voll responded with aggressive yet controlled batting. They smashed the ball around the ground, dismantling the DC bowlers effectively.
The pair’s partnership of 165 runs off just 92 balls is now the highest for any wicket in WPL history. Mandhana held the innings together with grace while Voll matched her with powerful boundaries, ensuring that the required run rate stayed manageable.
This victory secures RCB’s second WPL title, while Delhi Capitals faced disappointment for the fourth time in a final.
