England has announced their lineup for the first group-stage match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. They will play against Nepal on February 8 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

At the top, Phil Salt and Jos Buttler form a strong opening pair, ready to challenge opposing bowlers quickly. Salt’s aggressive style fits well with Buttler’s skill in controlling the game, and Buttler will also be the wicketkeeper, providing valuable experience. The addition of Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton strengthens both the top and middle order.

Captain Harry Brook plays a key role in the middle order, further establishing himself as a significant T20 batter for England. Brook is supported by a solid all-rounder group, including Sam Curran and Will Jacks, who bring balance with both bat and ball. Curran’s left-arm seam adds variety to the attack, while Jacks contributes with his spin and aggressive batting.

Liam Dawson and Adil Rashid lead the spin attack, offering control during the middle overs. Rashid continues to be vital to England’s white-ball strategy due to his consistency.
