Tim Seifert was the top scorer with 65 runs off 42 balls, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes. Glenn Phillips also contributed significantly with 42 runs from 25 balls, including 7 boundaries and 1 six. Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets for Afghanistan.
Earlier, Gulbadin Naib scored 63 runs, helping Afghanistan set a total of 182/6 in their 20 overs. Lockie Ferguson claimed two wickets for New Zealand.
