Former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison has shared his four semi-finalists for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, notably leaving out two-time champions West Indies.
In a widely shared video, Morrison selected defending champions India, along with New Zealand, England, and South Africa. He emphasized that playing at home, current form, and familiarity with Indian conditions influenced his choices. He highlighted India’s strong performance at home and the depth of talent available to the co-hosts.
“Co-host India in their own backyard, this blue juggernaut is hard to stop. I’m going with New Zealand because they have just played in India, showcasing strong talent and a variety of players. Then there’s England, and finally South Africa, as many of these players have experience from the Indian Premier League and understand these conditions well,” Morrison stated via Star Sports.
