The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 kicked off at the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo on Tuesday, February 10, with a tense Group A matchup between Pakistan and USA. Pakistan set a challenging target for the USA, but the standout moment came from American fielder Milind Kumar, who made an incredible catch, dismissing Babar Azam just four runs shy of a half-century.

Pakistan was in a strong position during the 15th over as Babar aimed for a late surge. He was facing leg-spinner Mohammad Mohsin and attempted to pull a shorter ball towards the leg side. However, he didn’t make solid contact, resulting in a top edge that sent the ball toward the long-on boundary.

What seemed like an easy catch turned into a spectacular play by Milind. He sprinted in from the boundary and expertly judged the ball’s trajectory. In a stunning display of athleticism, he dove forward, catching the ball just inches from the ground as he rolled across the grass.

Babar’s dismissal (46 off 32 balls) was a critical moment for Pakistan, as he hit four boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 143.75. This catch prevented Babar from reaching a significant fifty and provided the USA with a crucial breakthrough as Pakistan was gearing up for a strong finish.
