Team India’s opener Abhishek Sharma has been hospitalized due to a stomach infection. Sanju Samson is expected to open alongside Ishan Kishan in the upcoming match against Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Abhishek was already feeling unwell during the first match against the USA, but the management included him in the Playing XI at Wankhede Stadium on February 7.
He was dismissed without scoring and did not take the field during the run chase. Abhishek also did not attend practice on Tuesday.
