Ishan Kishan has unfortunately injured his foot during a training session ahead of India’s important T20 World Cup match against Namibia. The game is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and this injury to the Indian wicketkeeper-batter is concerning.

The injury occurred when Kishan took a hard hit on his toe from a yorker bowled by Jasprit Bumrah. He was seen on the ground in visible discomfort. This news adds to the worries for the Indian team, especially with Abhishek Sharma having recently dealt with a stomach issue that required hospitalization.

In India’s opening T20 World Cup match against the USA, Abhishek was dismissed for a golden duck, while Kishan scored 20 runs from 16 balls.

Kishan had just returned to the T20 side during the series against New Zealand after more than two years away. He was in good form, scoring 215 runs in four innings, averaging 53.75 with a strike rate of 231.18.

During training, Kishan returned to the nets, according to RevSportz’ Gargi Raut. He later walked back to the dressing room with a smile, though he was limping slightly.

In the match against the USA, India struggled early in their innings, finding themselves at 77/6 in the 13th over. However, captain Suryakumar Yadav played a key role, scoring 84 not out off 49 balls, hitting 10 fours and four sixes. India finished their innings at 161/9 after 20 overs. The USA managed to score only 132/8 in response, giving India a 29-run victory. Mohammed Siraj was a standout performer with the ball, finishing with 3 wickets for 29 runs in four overs.
