South Africa secured a win against Afghanistan in the second Super Over at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Both teams finished their 20 overs with 187 runs each and were tied at 17 runs in the first Super Over. David Miller and Tristan Stubbs scored 23 runs, with Miller hitting two sixes off Afghan bowler Azmatullah Omarzai.

In their chase of 24 runs, Rashid Khan’s team scored 19 runs in their Super Over. South Africa turned to Keshav Maharaj, who took the wickets of Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

With 24 runs needed in 4 overs, Gurbaz hit three sixes in a row, leaving Afghanistan needing only 6 runs from the last delivery. Maharaj bowled a wide, bringing the requirement down to 5 runs in 1 ball. However, Gurbaz was out, leading to South Africa’s second straight victory.
