England’s Jos Buttler made headlines by setting a new world record for the highest Cricket catch, a moment that has quickly gained attention on social media.
This remarkable achievement took place during a challenge with former England player Kevin Pietersen. Buttler caught a ball dropped from a drone at an impressive height of 122 meters.
The previous record was held by Australian wicketkeeper Timothy Shanon Jebaseelan at 119.86 meters. Buttler’s keen focus and skill allowed him to surpass this mark.
Following the catch, Buttler and Pietersen celebrated enthusiastically, with Buttler visibly thrilled as he embraced his former teammate.
“Oh my god, the relief. No one was like…This is actually the last go as well and there’s no way I can leave without this,” Buttler said.
The catching exercise began at a 50-meter height, but Buttler set his sights on breaking the world record.
