The Namibia Cricket team has expressed dissatisfaction with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Captain Gerhard Erasmus voiced his concerns after the team did not get a chance to train under lights, even though they have been practicing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium since February 8.
Namibia kicked off their T20 World Cup 2026 journey against the Netherlands in Delhi on February 10. Their training session started at 2 PM IST for a match set to begin at 11 AM IST. The team wanted to practice in the evening because they had a crucial match against India on February 12.
Despite this, the ICC did not provide them with an under-the-lights training session on February 11, just a day before the game against India. Meanwhile, India held training sessions from 6 to 9 PM IST on February 10 and 11. Erasmus questioned why Canada was given the night session instead, as they are scheduled to play against UAE in Delhi on February 13.
