It’s disappointing to see Sanju Samson not reach his full potential with Team India. Despite his talent, he missed a key chance after a strong start. The Kerala batter got his first opportunity to open the innings when Abhishek Sharma was ruled out for the IND vs NAM T20 World Cup match on Thursday. Unfortunately, he managed only 22 runs off 8 balls in his T20 World Cup debut.

Samson attempted a risky shot against pacer Ben Shikongo and was caught at deep mid-wicket. This dismissal was a missed chance for him to make an impact in his career. With Ishan Kishan and Abhishek already in the picture, he doesn’t start as the top choice for opening. However, the game against Namibia was a great opportunity for him to change that.
