Astrologer Sumit Bajaj predicts that Rohit Sharma, a key player for Team India, will not play in the 2027 World Cup. He forecasts that Rohit will start his retirement after August 2026.

Currently playing only ODIs after leaving Tests and T20s, Rohit aims to win the 2027 World Cup for India. The 38-year-old captain led the team in the 2023 World Cup but lost to Australia in the final.

Born in Nagpur, Rohit made a strong showing in the 2023 World Cup, scoring 597 runs in 11 innings with an average of 54.27 and a strike rate of 125.24, including three fifties and one century. Under his leadership, India secured two ICC titles in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, despite falling short in the 50-over championship.

Rohit bounced back after being replaced as ODI captain prior to the Australia tour last October, earning the Player of the Series award with 202 runs in three innings, including a century in the third ODI in Sydney.

In his last six ODIs against South Africa and New Zealand, Rohit scored two half-centuries. However, during the ODI series against New Zealand in January, he managed scores of 26, 24, and 11.

Next, Rohit will participate in the IPL with the Mumbai Indians before joining the national side again in June 2026 for three ODIs against England. His performance will be closely monitored as the team prepares for the 2027 World Cup.
