Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir showed his frustration after Tilak Varma got out during the India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup 2026 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on February 15. Tilak scored 25 runs off 24 balls before being dismissed by Saim Ayub.
Ayub bowled the 15th over when India was in a strong position. On the second ball, he delivered a full toss aimed at the stumps. Tilak attempted a sweep but misjudged it, resulting in the ball hitting him in front of middle stump.
The umpire quickly raised his finger, signaling Tilak’s out. He walked back to the pavilion without opting for a review. This dismissal triggered an irritated reaction from Gambhir in the dugout, as Pakistan began to gain control over the Indian batting.
