India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav showed his frustration towards teammate Kuldeep Yadav after the India versus Pakistan match on Sunday, February 15, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Indian team secured a 61-run victory, but Suryakumar was unhappy with Kuldeep’s performance in the field, especially after he dropped a catch on the boundary in the eighteenth over.
During the second ball of the 18th over, bowled by Hardik Pandya, Shaheen Shah Afridi hit a high pull shot toward the long-on region, where Kuldeep was positioned. He failed to catch the ball, which sailed over the boundary for a six, adding unnecessary runs to Pakistan’s total.
Even though the win was assured for India by this point, Suryakumar was critical of Kuldeep’s missed opportunity and poor effort in the field. He was seen reprimanding Kuldeep as the game concluded just a few balls later. A video of this exchange has circulated widely on social media.
