Sahibzada Farhan has been a standout performer for Pakistan in T20 International matches, and he demonstrated this once more in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The right-handed batter scored a century, making him the second Pakistani player after Ahmed Shehzad to achieve this in a global tournament. Shehzad had scored an unbeaten 111 in 2024.

The team, known as the Men in Green, set a target of 199 runs, finishing with 199/3 in their 20 overs. Farhan scored 100 not out off 58 balls, including 11 fours and 4 sixes in his innings against Namibia. Shadab Khan contributed 36 runs from 22 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 1 four during his stay at the crease.

Shadab partnered with Farhan for an important fourth-wicket stand, adding 81 runs. Earlier, captain Salman Ali Agha scored 38 runs off 23 balls, supported by 3 fours and 2 sixes.

This match is crucial for Pakistan as a loss would mean their exit from the T20 World Cup. So far, Sahibzada has played 43 T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 1,142 runs at an average of 27.85 and a strike rate of 134.35. His record includes 1 century, 9 fifties, 93 fours, and 62 sixes.

Pakistan began their World Cup journey with a narrow win over the Netherlands and followed it up by defeating the USA. However, their winning streak came to an end when India handed them a 61-run defeat.
