India faced an early challenge in their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 match 36 against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Netherlands spinner Aryan Dutt made an impact by taking out both Indian openers during the powerplay. A particularly unfortunate moment occurred when Ishan Kishan was dismissed in an unexpected way after a strong beginning.
Kishan entered the match with confidence, scoring 18 runs off just 7 balls, including two fours and a six. He aimed to give his team an explosive start. However, Cricket can be unpredictable, and his innings ended unexpectedly.
Unexpected Dismissal Surprises India
The incident happened in the fifth over. Dutt bowled a short ball that veered down the leg side. Kishan tried to hit it for another boundary but missed completely.
The ball struck his thigh pad first and then hit his elbow before rolling onto the stumps. Kishan attempted to block it with his bat but was too late, and the bails were dislodged, resulting in him being out bowled.
