The Pakistan Cricket community is in shock after serious allegations from Sannia Ashfaq, the ex-wife of cricketer Imad Wasim. Through a series of emotional social media posts, Ashfaq has accused Wasim of emotional neglect and of forcing her to undergo a medical procedure she termed “murderous.” This controversy has sparked widespread discussions about accountability and women’s rights in high-profile relationships.
Sannia Ashfaq appeals to Mohsin Naqvi and Shehbaz Sharif regarding Imad Wasim
After months of silence following their December 2025 divorce, Ashfaq shared a heartfelt video that has quickly gained attention. She recounts a traumatic incident from December 2023, claiming she was pressured into having an abortion, a situation that left her deeply scarred both physically and emotionally. She emphasizes that the decision was made without her consent, and the absence of support from her husband worsened the ordeal.
“I am recording this video with immense courage because I want the truth for my children and justice for the life that was lost,” Ashfaq expressed. She alleges she has evidence to back her claims and has reached out to prominent figures for assistance.
Ashfaq specifically called on Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to take her concerns seriously. She is asking for a formal investigation, stating that her goal is to seek “respect and accountability,” not revenge. She also urged the Islamabad United franchise to evaluate the actions of their player, stressing that no woman should have to suffer in silence.
