The Rajasthan Royals (RR) will host 4 of their 7 home matches at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. This venue has been the team’s home since the league began in 2008. In recent seasons, they have also used the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati as a secondary location.
RR decided to look for a new match venue due to ongoing issues with the suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and a temporary committee set up by the Rajasthan government.
The franchise raised concerns about safety following an independent audit by Tata Projects, which examined the stadium operations. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) backed RR’s concerns, especially in light of the recent stampede incident in Bengaluru. However, the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) dismissed the allegations, stating that the stadium only required minor repairs.
