The 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi was canceled due to severe weather at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 31. Both teams will receive one point each, marking the first points for Islamabad United this season.

Before the coin toss, a major thunderstorm struck, bringing heavy rain, hail, and strong winds. This intense weather lasted about an hour. While the pitch was covered, the outfield remained exposed, leading to significant water accumulation on the field.

Conditions improved closer to the scheduled match time. Ground staff worked hard to prepare the field, but the outfield remained too wet for play. At 9:20 pm, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proposed the possibility of a five-over match since the ground appeared drier than earlier.

However, safety concerns led to the match being officially called off, marking the first abandoned game of the season.
