Mitchell Santner, the left-arm spinning all-rounder, has joined the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). His addition strengthens an already impressive Mumbai Indians team, which began its IPL 2026 campaign with a six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Santner is set to be available for Mumbai Indians’ next match against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 4.
Regarded as one of the top all-rounders in world Cricket, Santner took two wickets with an economy of 6.60 and scored 120 runs at a strike rate of 142.85 in the recent T20 World Cup, helping New Zealand reach the finals.
