Former Indian captain MS Dhoni recently engaged with IIT JEE and NEET aspirants, offering practical advice on how to handle setbacks in competitive exams. He stressed the importance of having the right mindset and being resilient when faced with initial failures. Dhoni urged students to see setbacks as chances to learn rather than obstacles.

When discussing his own challenges and what drives him, Dhoni mentioned that a second chance should be taken seriously. He pointed out the need to review past mistakes, learn from them, and strive for improvement in future performances.

“If life gives you a second chance, make the most of it. Identify your weaknesses, address them, and work to fix them. Hard work matters when you’ve gone beyond exhaustion; everyone works hard until they tire. What you do after that defines you,” Dhoni stated on Allen Online.

Dhoni has been a revered player across all ages, admired for his perseverance and steady leadership, which have inspired many to reach for their goals. Currently, he is unavailable for CSK during the early weeks of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 due to a calf strain, keeping him out for the first two weeks of the tournament.

In his absence, CSK has assigned wicketkeeping responsibilities to Sanju Samson for the first three matches. Unfortunately, the five-time champions have faced difficulties, losing all three matches and finding themselves at the bottom of the points table. They are set to compete against Delhi Capitals in their fourth match on Saturday, April 11, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK is optimistic about Dhoni’s swift return, which could significantly lift the team’s performance and help them regain their winning form.
