Chloe Ainsworth and Lucy Hamilton have secured their first national contracts, while Nicola Carey retains her spot following an upgrade during Australia’s tour of the West Indies.

Alyssa Healy (retired), Tayla Vlaeminck, and Tess Flintoff did not have their contracts renewed from last season.

Shawn Flegler, Head of Performance (Women’s Cricket) and National Selector at Cricket Australia, stated, “It’s exciting to see Lucy Hamilton and Chloe Ainsworth receive their first national contracts, highlighting their impact at the domestic level, while Nicola Carey keeps her recent upgrade after solid performances in the last two series.”

“Although Tayla and Tess aren’t included this year, we will support their development, and they remain in contention for selection. With an upcoming major ICC event and several key series, we believe this group has the skill and depth necessary to perform and create further opportunities for others throughout the year.”

Players who do not initially receive contracts can still earn upgrades during the year by collecting 12 upgrade points. Points are awarded as follows: five points for a Test match, two for a One-Day International, and two for a T20 International.
