The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are heading to Chennai to face the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 22 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, April 14.
KKR is currently the only team without a win in this year’s tournament. They have played four matches and earned just one point from a rain-affected game against the Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens.
The team, led by Ajinkya Rahane, recently lost a close match to the Lucknow Super Giants. In that game, LSG needed seven runs off the final two balls, with KKR seemingly close to their first win. However, Mukul Choudhary managed to hit a six off the second last ball from Vaibhav Arora, securing a comeback victory for LSG.
Despite their struggle, KKR is gradually finding their best lineup. While their batting shows some promise, they will need their bowlers to perform well against CSK to chase their first two points of the 2026 season.
