The Indian men’s cricket team will face the West Indies in a two-match Test series. The series opener is scheduled to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2 to 6, and Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium will host the second Test from October 10 to 14. Shubman Gill will captain the Indian team, and world No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been named as his deputy, whereas the West Indies team will play under the leadership of spin-bowling all-rounder Roston Chase.

The West Indies have suffered two big setbacks ahead of the start of the series. Pacers Shamar Joseph and Alzarri Joseph are ruled out due to injuries. In their absence, Jayden Seales, who has 88 wickets to his credit in 21 Tests played so far, will lead the bowling attack.
